LTA Playoff Stakes and Key Matchups Heading Into Playoffs

Let’s talk about stakes!

As the regular season comes to a close, this weekend will send two teams home for the remainder of the split, finalize the standings in the LTA, as well as determine the upper and lower bracket matchups for the playoffs. Just four matches remain in the season, two on Saturday and two on Sunday. Each series is best of three.

The riveting weekend begins Saturday at 1 p.m. PT with Cloud 9 and FlyQuest clashing for the number one spot in the LTA. Both teams have earned their spots in the upper bracket of the playoffs, but they are now fighting for the number one seed.

LYON and Dignitas face off at Saturday 4 p.m. PT in the first elimination series. The winner is added to the lower bracket.

Matchups on Sunday kickoff at 1 p.m. PT and open with Team Liquid and Shopify Rebellion. Both teams already made the playoffs and will compete for seeding in the upper bracket.

100 Thieves and Disguised are the last series of the weekend at 4 p.m. PT. This is another elimination game with the winner being slotted into the lower bracket.

This weekend has the potential make or break some teams and will be a true mental test for those teams on the bubble. Can they make it into a bracket? Who will they play if they make it?
